Clean Sweep Imaging Remote Indexing Project
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR REMOTE INDEXERS

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the indexing portion of our projects is to complete data entry into a data base that resides on our customer's server, so that their personnel will have the ability to perform a keyword search which will result in a list of documents or drawings that can then be viewed and/or printed or plotted.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE PROCEDURE
  1. Documents are scanned by the Scanning Team.
  2. Scanned images are burned to CD's or DVD's and delivered to the client for loading on their server.
  3. Indexing can begin to take place once several decisions have been made by the client, such as the type of database desired and the fields that will be "searchable" within the database.
  4. An Indexing Team is chosen, based on an Indexer's capabilities, past performance and time frame requirements of the project.
  5. As each Indexer comes onboard, they will be notified as to which database the project will be using.
  6. Indexers will need a PDF viewer in order to read the policies and procedures for each type of project. Available at Adobe Reader.
