CSI recently completed their largest project to date, 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Some members of our team are no longer with us, but we feel that it is important to give them recognition for a job well done and not forget them, as the project would not have been a success without their capable help.
Meet the members of our team:
Terry
The Leader of the Pack (he refuses to be called "Boss"), has been in the scanning business for more years than he cares to admit and has earned the reputation of being the "best in the business". He knows every aspect of every project and its implications. His knowledge began at a now out-of-business reprographics company, where he was known as the person to come to if a client wanted something out of the ordinary, done right or with a "must have by" deadline. He views each project on its own unique idiosyncrasies where very rarely do any two clients require the same solution. His motto of "ain't nothing but a thing" is his secret to bringing projects in on time and under budget.
Kat
Is Terry's business partner. Having spent over 40 years in the engineering business, it was a natural transition into document management. She handles all the mundane paperwork and making sure that everyone gets paid as well as heading up the indexing team. She designed the spreadsheet that was used for a project that utilized the PC Printroom database and handled the uploads to the database. Her diligent efforts assured the client of quality control.
Amanda
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the numbering (a part of scanning) team.
Crissi
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Crystal
Lives in Michigan and is one of the more experienced indexers. She comes to us being very experienced in not only Excel, but also in handling of drawings. Her excellent efforts are part of what made the indexing portion of our project a success. Crystal continues to give us excellent performance on our current project and is a valued member of our team.
Dan
Is retired, was Kat's mentor in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and a past District Commander in the Auxiliary. It was Dan's lovely wife, Bev, who gave Kat her nickname. Love it. Dan lives close to the 2nd busiest Coast Guard station in the country -- St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Note: Dan became quite ill during the early stage of our project and decided to step aside. We all wish him well.
Dawn N.
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the numbering (a part of scanning) team.
Dawn T.
Lives in New Hampshire with her hubby and two babies. She is the mother of 6. She did her indexing while 6-month old Austin was sitting on her lap. Now talk about multi-tasking! Our project would not have been as successful without her capable help and CSI is indebted to her.
Donna
Lives in Connecticut and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Fred
As a "Buckeye" (but we Wolverines won't hold it against him), Fred makes up part of the Ohio contingency. He builds and maintains most of the computers in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He was a valued member of the indexing team.
Jacki
Worked for Kat at The Captain's Library - she was the manager and the store would not to have been open for as long as it was without her able assistance. She lives in Michigan. The project was a success because of her commitment to the indexing portion as well as assisting with the submissions to the database. She also assisted with quality control.
James
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the numbering (a part of scanning) team.
Joann
Lives in Ohio and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Joe
And Terry have known each other for about 20 years. He lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the scanning team. His able assistance contributed to the scanning being completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
John (aka "Bubba")
Lives in Tennessee and was a valued member of the scanning team. His able assistance contributed to the scanning being complete 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
Judi
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Kelli
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Kristie
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Mary
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Mary Jo
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Matthew
Lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Mel
Lives in Minnesota and was one of the top performers for the indexing portion of the project. She, along with Sheila, Crystal and Dawn, made up the Production Line, simply because of the numbers these 4 were capable of generating. CSI depended on them heavily.
Nancy
Lives in Oklahoma. She is a "night owl" and Kat received most of her files in the wee hours of the morning. She was a valued member of the indexing team.
Ralph
Ralph also is a "Buckeye", but he is also a former police officer and ordained minister. He was a valued member of the indexing team.
Robert
Is retired, lives in Michigan and was a valued member of the indexing team.
Robin
Lives in Connecticut with her hubby. She was a valued member of the indexing team.
Sheila
And Kat have known each other for about 20 years. They met when Kat was showing one of her cats. She is a licensed massage therapist (which came in handy during those long days) but came onboard at the beginning of our project. Her help was invaluable during the scanning portion of the project, and then moving on to the indexing portion. She also lives in Michigan.
Teresa
Lived in Michigan (having moved to Oklahoma) and was a valued member of the numbering (a part of the scanning) team.
