Once the documents are scanned, they will need to be indexed so that they can easily be retrieved. There is no sense in scanning them if they cannot be readily accessible. The first step to indexing the drawings or documents is to meet with the client and determine what fields need to be "searchable":
- Name (patient or client)
- Drawing title
- Date
- Vendor
- Revision number
- Others
The second step would be to determine what type of database the client wishes to use. If the client has a preference, that can be accommodated. Or
Clean Sweep Imaging
can recommend one if there is no preference. Some of the popular ones are DocImager, MS Access, 123 File-It or PC PrintRoom, among others.
The third step would be to determine the time frame the project needs to be completed in. All of the indexing portion of the project can be done quickly and easily by our qualified team of indexers.
